Lakes Adventure offers; Guided-Climbing days, Instruction by-the-day, weekend and 5-day courses. We have a bespoke day to suit you. We cover all the skills that you need to continue your journey as a winter climber.
For hillwalkers that simply want to gain confidence on steeper graded-routes, we can teach you the essential skills; advanced ice-axe and crampon use, building snow-and-ice anchors, simple emergency rope-skills, Avalanche awareness, safe route choice. We can give you the skills and knowledge that you need to continue your winter journey.
Climbers come to us for many different reasons, we provide guided ice-climbing experience days for some and bespoke, full-week, instructional courses for others. Wherever you are on your winter climbing journey, we have the skills and knowledge, to help you progress and succeed.
We provide new-climbers with the basic skills and knowledge that they require to step-out safely on their first winter climbs. Winterising their summer climbing-skills or teaching everything from basic, first-principals. Our Instructors are highly skilled and greatly experienced, you are in safe hand- with us.
We offer coaching days for climbers that are already leading routes easier routes (up to Scottish Grade 3). We look at you climb and coach everything we see; Technical, Tactical, Physical and Psychological. These are the four cornerstones of a climbing performance and each is essential for making solid, lasting improvements to your climbing game. We can help with; your movement skills, technical ropework, winter-gear placement, avalanche awareness and safe route choice, whist providing advice and guidance for your head-game. We help you make safe, confident, and exciting gains in your climbing journey.
