This course will set you up for big adventure! Developing you as an independent climber, delivering key skills, increasing confidence and competence. This immersive 2 day experience will see you climbing pitch-after-pitch, following our instructors, learning every step of the way. Multi-pitch climbs on big mountain crags are both challenging and rewarding. These two days will see you making big steps toward setting-out on your own epic adventures.

Is this for me?

This course is aimed at climbers already leading single pitch routes. The course will take place on routes graded V/Diff - Severe.

What do I need?

We can provide all the technical equipment; Helmets, harnesses, ropes and climbing gear. As a leader you probably own your own rack, if so, please bring it along. We always encourage clients to use the kit that they are familiar with. We can chat about, and advise you on the suitability of your gear. You will need to bring food and drink for the days out and clothing suitable for the weather conditions; Warm clothes, water-poofs, hat and gloves. Maybe sunglasses and sunscreen if we're lucky.

Where do we go?

We will generally meet in Langdale valley, at the National Trust(NT) car park. This will be subject to local weather conditions, we’ll head to wherever is best on the day and agree this with you beforehand. If you have any preference of location we will always try to include this in the program. Please chat to us beforehand to see what is possible.

Course Itinerary

Day 1 will be spent at a valley location to minimise the time spent walking-in. You will be roped-up and climbing as soon as possible, the day will see you climbing multi-pitch routes and learning as you go.

Day 2 will be adapted to maximise progression. A big mountain day on one of the Lake Districts great cliffs: Pavey Ark, Dow Crag or maybe White Ghyll. If appropriate, you will be leading under the guidance of your instructor. Whatever you do, our instructor will ensure it is appropriate, and maximises your learning and experience.
