Rock Climbing can become a life-style, and it's not hard to see why. This sport takes you to beautiful places, forges great friendships and keeps you fit, both physically and mentally. Spending time in the mountains with great friends, what could be better? On this course you will be introduced to Rock Climbing. You will learn all the technical skills needed to start your climbing journey, pick-up lots of new lingo and have a great time. Is this for me? Yes, if you are reasonably fit and have a head for heights. This course is aimed at a novice climber or someone that’s completely new to the sport. Those that have experience of indoor climbing and want to get onto real rock will also find this course a great option. What do I need? We provide all the technical equipment; Helmets, harnesses, ropes and climbing gear. If you own any of your own climbing gear then please bring it along. You will need to bring food and drink for the day and clothing suitable for the weather conditions; Warm clothes, water-poofs, hat and gloves. Maybe sunglasses and sunscreen if we're lucky. Where do we go? We will generally meet in Langdale valley, at the NT car park. This will be subject to local weather conditions though, we’ll head to wherever is best on the day. Course Itinerary This 2 day course will take place at single-pitch valley crags, with a maximum of 6 clients. The days will be a mix of learning and climbing. Under our expert guidance, you will be able to progress at your own pace. You’ll focus on learning: climbing knots and ropework, belaying skills and climbing safety. You will also get lots of movement coaching as you get to grips with life-in-the-vertical. Course Cost and Ratios Maximum Instructor/Client ratio is 1:3. £ 225 per person.
